High Energy Bills

High Energy Bills

I am still a full time student in my last year of university! I’m really going to miss all of my friends that I have known in these last four years, and being a full time student plus toiling a part time job, on top of university work plus other responsibilities, can be overwhelming periodically, and there are some weeks where I get really stressed.

This university year I decided to not live in student housing, but to rent a house.

I supply my building owner a rent each month plus I also play for my utility bills, but ever since I’ve moved in my utility bills are excessively high. I tried reducing my consumption by sacrificing light plus comfort. I will set my programmable thermostat to the highest temperature when it’s sizzling outside plus to the lowest when it’s frigid outside. I’ve tried numerous alternatives but it seems like my utility bills are still skyrocketing. I started doing research plus it told me to get ahold of my Heating as well as A/C provider… When I called my Heating as well as A/C provider they wanted to set an appointment to check my duct work. They had a feeling that I was losing a lot of energy from leaks in my duct system. The workers also wanted to look for any insulation complications or drafts from windows or doors. I’m hoping that this is the problem, however my appointment is set for tomorrow plus I told my building owner. He said any bills from them, to send to him, then at least it’s one less bill I’ll have to pay plus hopefully it’s a solution in paying no more high utility bills.
