Air Handlers

Last weekend I had my cousin and his family stay at my house for the weekend. They’re from the south and they wanted to make a trip up north. They were thrilled and excited about my offer. They’ve never been to my house and they were excited to see the beautiful scenery that surrounds my home. We all went out to dinner and then relaxed in my living room. My cousin and his wife put their two younger children to bed and us adults stayed up finishing our glasses of wine. My cousin asked how I keep my house cool and warm in the winter and summer. I told him that I have a central air system that maintains the temperature of my house exactly the way I like it. He was curious because him and his wife are thinking about moving out of their small old house and building a new home. I also asked him if he could hear my unit running. He replied with a no, and I told him that I also have an air handler with my system. An air handler helps circulating the air better. It also helps my system run more efficiently with its double walled insulation that helps prevent energy loss. Not to mention, it gives my system a reliable and ultra-quiet operation so I don’t hear my system turning on and off. He was rather interested and said it was something that he was going to keep in mind when him and his wife start building their new home.
