I am still a full time student in my last year of school! I’m really going to miss all of my friends that I have known in these last four years, and being a full time student & toiling a part time task, on top of school toil & other responsibilities, can be overwhelming sometimes; There are some weeks where I get really stressed.
This year I decided to not live in student housing, however to rent a house. I deliver my apartment owner a rent each month & I also play for my energy bills, but ever since I’ve moved in my energy bills are excessively high. I tried reducing my consumption by sacrificing light & comfort. I will set my programmable thermostat to the highest temperature when it’s hot outside & to the lowest when it’s cold outside. I’ve tried many alternatives however it seems like my energy bills are still skyrocketing. I started doing research & it told me to get ahold of my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C provider! When I called my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C provider they wanted to set an appointment to check my duct work. They had a feeling that I was losing a lot of energy from leaks in my duct system. The workers also wanted to look for any insulation problems or drafts from windows or doors. I’m hoping that this is the problem, then my appointment is set for tomorrow & I told my apartment owner, however he said any bills from them, to send to him… At least it’s one less bill I’ll have to pay & hopefully it’s a solution in paying no more high energy bills.
