I always like to get my system inspected before every season hits.
I always call my technician about three of four times a year to set an appointment.
Between their visits of cleaning and inspecting my system, I always like to make sure my filter is clean. If my filter is not clean and free of dust, I will replace it with a new one. I recently had a bad experience with my old technician. He would always be late to the appointments and would always work like he was in a hurry to get somewhere else. Personally, I don’t think he knew what he was doing half of the time. Now that I need an inspection before the winter hits I’m going to have to look up a different HVAC provider. I found one that is local and family operated. I’ve also heard good reviews about them from my friends. The technician showed up at my house on time and seemed very professional. When he went downstairs to my HVAC system he didn’t seem like he was in a rush either. He took his time and thoroughly inspected and cleaned my system. When looking at my system he asked me a few questions and did some measurements. He told me that my HVAC system was the wrong size for my house. By taking in account of critical factors such as: the climate that my house is in, the number of windows, insulation and ductwork, ceiling heights and the number of people living in my home it determined to be the incorrect size. My HVAC unit was too big! I was pretty frustrated when hearing this since my old HVAC provider was the one that installed my system.
