Winter is right around the corner.
I’m trying to prepare myself mentally for the cold.
Physically I am prepared with my new winter jacket, hat, and gloves. I recently went on a shopping spree to update the clothes in my closet. There were these pair of boots that I loved and wanted to get. I couldn’t buy them because I was already over my budget and needed the money for my HVAC system. My HVAC system is about eleven years old. According to my technician I can replace it either this year or next year. This year money has been a little tight because I had to buy a new car. I was in an accident earlier in the year and my insurance company claimed it as totaled. I have an appointment with my HVAC provider tomorrow to discuss if I can keep the unit for one more year or replace it this year. I’m hoping to at least have it for one more year so I can put more money aside for an updated and advanced HVAC system. Once my technician got to my house he inspected and cleaned my system. He was looking to see if there were any cracks in my ductwork system and he checked my air filter to make sure it was clean. He recommended not replacing my system this year because it is running very efficiently. However he insisted that he put in microprocessor controls that are designed to optimize the system’s performance. I was a little reluctant at first because I didn’t want to add something to my system that was going to be replaced. But he told me that I could add the optimizer control from my old system to my new HVAC system for even more efficiency.
