I am still a full time student in my last year of school.
I’m really going to miss all of my friends that I have known in these last four years.
Being a full time student and working a part time job, on top of school work and other responsibilities, can be overwhelming sometimes. There are some weeks where I get really stressed. This school year I decided to not live in student housing, but to rent a house. I give my landlord a rent each month and I also play for my utility bills. Ever since I’ve moved in my utility bills are excessively high. I tried reducing my consumption by sacrificing light and comfort. I will set my programmable thermostat to the highest temperature when it’s hot outside and to the lowest when it’s cold outside. I’ve tried many alternatives but it seems like my utility bills are still skyrocketing. I started doing research and it told me to get ahold of my HVAC provider. When I called my HVAC provider they wanted to set an appointment to check my duct work. They had a feeling that I was losing a lot of energy from leaks in my duct system. The technicians also wanted to look for any insulation problems or drafts from windows or doors. I’m hoping that this is the problem. My appointment is set for tomorrow and I told my landlord. He said any bills from them, to send to him. At least it’s one less bill I’ll have to pay and hopefully it’s a solution in paying no more high utility bills.
